'The Haute Route' The High level route for skiers. 11/04/10 - 17/04/10 7 days. £595 Plus clients expenses approx £350 (lifts, hut costs, food, transfers) The Haute route is a journey which traverses through the Alpine Mountains and glaciers between Chamonix and Zermat.

It was first completed on foot by an English group at the end of the 19th century and is now a popular trek and ski tour.Zermat is about 70 km from Chamonix but the actual route is much longer. There are 2 main variations and we will be doing the 'skiers' variation via Verbier which allows for the most skiing. It requires a competent level of off piste ability and fitness

The Vallee Blanche is the worlds most famous ski descent.

It starts at the top of the Aiguille de Midi, Chamonix and finishes back in Chamonix 22km later and after 2700m of skiing. You descend roped together the magnificent Midi Arete to the top of the Vallee Blance. The spectacular vista takes in many of the 4000m peaks: Grand Jorasse, Aiguille Vert, Grand Combine, Zermatt peaks etc.

There are many variations on the descents of the valley Blanche. The normal route is suitable for many average skiers. The more challenging variations require skiers to be able to ski off-piste and kick turn. You can ski to the Italian side with touring kit or by the lift from Courmayour.
